Safety in Submission

First things first...

When meeting a client for a fetish or submission appointment you must take a few steps to insure your safety:

1. Find out what experience the client has a dominate partner. Is this the first time that they will be engaging in this type of play? If not what type of play have they engaged in previously?

2. No matter what they answer to question # 1 is take a few moments to go over the proper use of the equipment. Establish a break system. Ex. I can take 5 minutes of straight spanking and then I need 1 minute off.

3. Establish safe words and ALWAYS USE THEM!!!! Typically YELLOW means you are reaching my pain limit and RED means STOP RIGHT NOW!

4. As you being your session make sure to allow your body time to warm up. You can't take yourself from 0-60 in 2 minutes. Start slowly/mild and work your way up.

5. When playing with bondage make sure that you allow your body time to warm up and take a bit of time to stretch before and after your session. Being bound in the same position for to long is hard on your joints so take time to take care of yourself.

6. Depending on the level of play that you plan for your session it may be a good idea to have someone supervise. That may mean being physically present in the room while you are with your client. NEVER work totally alone make sure that someone is there in case you need to yell for help or your client doesn't respect RED.

7. Remember your limits. It can be very hard when you are in your "zone" to gauge when the line has been crossed.

8. Don’t bite off more than you can chew. Only participate in activities that you are comfortable with.

9. Take great caution before engaging in any type of blood, breath or electrical play. This play requires a very skilled Dom/top. Better to say no then to risk harming yourself.

10.***Being a submissive doesn't mean that you have to be abused. They are very different things. BDSM and Fetish play is about being Safe, Sane and Consensual. At any time if you believe that your client has crossed the line, do not hesitate to call RED and if necessary end the session.**
