When in the market for a partner, playmate or the like.... when to tell is a challenging dilema. In my experience I chose not to tell until I knew what my true feelings were. I start off every encounter with a potential playmate with "I am poly and have multiple partners. We will use protection - including gloves and dams". When I felt it was time and like I was leading a double life and a year with my partner I sat them down and elaborated on my work.

They were shocked but said that as long as I was safe it was my choice. I feel lucky to have found an understanding and supportive partner.
